Artistic Director
LOU MORENO
Lou Moreno has worked with many of the great names of INTAR, including Max Ferra, Eduardo Machado, Maria Irene Fornés, Michael John Garcés, Fernando Arabal, Nilo Cruz, and Jose Rivera among many others. While cultivating his career as an actor and director, he made his directing debut with INTAR where his skills as producer, director and actor were developed and refined. In 2005 Louis was awarded a Princess Grace Fellowship for Directing and served for a year as the Associate Artistic Director of INTAR, producing on Kissing Fidel by Eduardo Machado, Tight Embrace by Jorge Ignacio Cortiñas, Points of Departure by Michael John Garcés as well as numerous cabarets and workshops.

Producing Director
NIDIA MEDINA
Nidia Medina (she/her) is a theater producer and artist who was worked professionally in many aspects of non-profit theater over the last 18 years. She currently serves as Producing Director of INTAR Theatre, where she was previously Associate Artistic Director, producing the award-winning run of Vámonos by Julissa Contreras. Recently she has also worked with WP Theater as Artistic Producer, leading the charge on the wildly successful run of Sancocho by Christin Eve Cato, and served as Interim Producing Director at The TEAM, artistically helmed by Rachel Chavkin. Other producing positions include Line Producer at The Public Theater, Associate Producer and Director of the Studio at Theatre for a New Audience, Special Projects Producer at WP Theater, and more. She has produced everything from Shakespeare in the Park, to a film, to an international tour, to boundary-pushing off-Broadway shows in some of New York’s most prestigious houses with some of theater’s most brilliant creative minds. In addition to her producing work, Nidia is also a writer, performer, director, and curator. She holds a BFA in Acting from Emerson College and a Master’s in Arts and Cultural Management from Pratt Institute.

LAURA MERCEDEZ MARTÍNEZ
Laura Mercedes Martínez (she/her) moved to New York City from Puerto Rico to get her MFA in Theater from Columbia University. She started her development career at Bradbury-Sullivan LGBT Community Center in Allentown, PA. In 2022, she moved back to New York City to work in non-profit theater fundraising. She is beyond excited to join her latino community as Development Manager at INTAR.

Alejandra is a well-rounded theatre person with experience in stage and production management, acting, designing and direction. Recent works include Awilda Rodriguez’s El Velorio de la Comay (BAAD-NY), Aravind Adyanthaya’s The Story of the Woman of the Sea (Casa Cruz de la Luna, Clemente Soto Vélez-NY), ALL THAT DIES AND RISES (M-34, IATI Theater-NY), Hageografías (Casa Cruz de la Luna, Pregones-NY), Venus y el Albañil (Loisaida Center-NY & Casa Cruz de la Luna-PR), The Maids (One-Eight, INTAR Theatre-NY), The Marquis De Sade is Afraid of the Sea (Casa Cruz de la Luna, INTAR Theater-NY), Zoetrope (Caborca, Cuba), Native Nation (Cornerstone Theater, ASU-AZ), La Mujer Maravilla (Hudson Church-NY), Oso Fabuloso & the Bear Backs (McKittrick Hotel) & FUERZAfest (Hispanic Federation-NYC), among others. Proud member of Caborca Theatre Company and Casa Cruz de la Luna.

Producing & Management Associate
JOSEPH DISTL
Joseph is a queer Puerto Rican theater artist from Queens with dreams to produce unconventional theater for unconventional audiences. They are a UNIT52 alum from the 2019 cohort. Joseph has worked at INTAR in several capacities from performer to stage manager. Some INTAR credits include Julio Ain't Goin' Down Like That, ¡Oso Fabulous & The Bearbacks!, Truckers, and The Hours are Feminine. Joseph would like to remind everyone that theater can be used as a force of activism. Take the time to celebrate and uplift marginalized communities that are losing their rights everyday. We are stronger together!

CHRISTOPHER J.
CANCEL POMALES
Designer/performer born in Puerto Rico and resident in Brooklyn, NY. Studied Stage Design and Technical Theater at CUNY Brooklyn College, he’s currently INTAR’s Technical Director and member of Casa Cruz de la Luna since 2007. Constantly collaborating with groups like Cloud of Fools, One-Eighth Theater, M34, Pregones/PRTT, Caborca, Walk Up Arts, Drama of Works, among others. Recent works include Javier Antonio González Zoetrope (Caborca), Aravind Adyanthaya’s The Story of the Woman of the Sea, Hagiografias & The Marquis de Sade is Afraid of the Sea(Casa Cruz de la Luna), Daniel Irizarry’s The Maids and Madman and the Nun(One-Eighth), Europa,
All that Dies and Rises & Dark Eyes (Cloud of Fools).

JESSE CASTELLANOS
Jesse Castellanos is a NYC actor and has been INTAR’s Marketing Manager since 2022. He is grateful to be working with INTAR where he can express his for theatre and uplifting unrepresented stories. Recent works include Truckers (INTAR) Tammany Hall (Soho Playhouse) Congrats to Me (The Tank). Regional, Torera. (Alley Theatre) and The Giant Void In My Soul (Luna Stage). Jesse holds a BFA in Acting from Montclair State University.

DANNY GÓMEZ
Danny Gómez, a Colombian-American artist from Queens, New York, and a LaGuardia alumnus has starred in four Baruch College plays and performed in various stage readings. A Unit 52 member at INTAR Theatre, he recently debuted Off-Broadway in José Rivera’s Sonnets For An Old Century. Film credits include Invisible People, POKENO, and The Shot. A comedian, singer, writer, and graduate of the Meisner Technique program at the Neighborhood Playhouse. As an arts educator with Park Avenue Armory, TDF, and The MET, he enriches NYC public schools by blending creativity with academic learning, celebrating diverse cultures, and pioneering new art experiences.
